In the move to J Records in 2000, Lord Have Mercy left Flipmode Squad in preference of a solo career in 2000, feeling that Busta was holding him down."
Released at the height of Busta's late 90s fame, The Flipmode Squad album was...sort of anticipated. The streets were really dying to hear the likes of Rampage, Baby Sham, Lord Have Mercy...and lets not forget Roc Marciano and Spliff Star. This album sucked. Sorry Hakeem, I know you had this shit in the disc man a lot back in the day, but this shit sucked. Not one memorable track.
I don't remember the whole thing but i do remember not being thrilled by it. All I remember being hyped about was "We Got U Opin (Part 2) (featuring Buckshot)" prod by Beatminerz but i dont actually remember the actual song. Round that time I was a BCC fanatic, for their first round of shit at least. still am i suppose. I shall revisit.
