Mercedes - Rear End

Critics lauded the cover as a Pen & Pixel masterpiece, noting how, by facing the car forwards instead of backwards, the viewer would have no doubt that the "rear end" (cleverly put in all lower case letters) of the title refers to Mercedes' rump, and not the rear end of a bright blue car, license plate "NO LIMIT records"

"After releasing the album, Mercedes reportedly retired from music business less than a year later to attend law school"

  1. Wow!

Truly a classic cover - this one had the streetz wide open - anticipation was runnin high. A strong marketing campaign by No Limit had the picture of this one on the inside of just about every No Limit album circa 98. Dont think I ever actually Saw this CD on the racks - but never-the-less, a classic cover. Now she helps me with my probation cases as I keep Mercedes on retainer. She is currently with the Law Offices of Bernstein, Heshman, Mercedes & Greene.

  2. BTW - Lets give props to No Limit for essentially reinventing the Compact Disc Case. Remember how they had a rather unique case - all hard plastic with the ridges on the side, colored like orange or black or green, a lot more sturdy than the typical CD case. Props for that. Another great innovation by Percy Miller & Co.
